According to the latest statistics released by the World Bank in 2024,in the ranking of the world's GDP in 1964, United States ranked first in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $685.8 billion; Former Soviet Union ranked second in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $246.32 billion; United Kingdom ranked third in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $94.41 billion; France ranked fourth in terms of GDP, with a total economy of $94.01 billion; and Japan, with a total economy of $81.75 billion, ranked fifth in GDP.
