According to the latest statistics released by the World Bank in 2024,in the ranking of the world's GDP in 1966, United States ranked first in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $815 billion; Former Soviet Union ranked second in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $291.35 billion; France ranked third in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $110.05 billion; United Kingdom ranked fourth in terms of GDP, with a total economy of $108.57 billion; and Japan, with a total economy of $105.63 billion, ranked fifth in GDP.
