According to the latest statistics released by the World Bank in 2024,in the ranking of the world's GDP in 1969, United States ranked first in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $1019.9 billion; Former Soviet Union ranked second in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $379.79 billion; Japan ranked third in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $172.2 billion; France ranked fourth in terms of GDP, with a total economy of $141.9 billion; and United Kingdom, with a total economy of $116.47 billion, ranked fifth in GDP.
