According to the latest statistics released by the World Bank in 2024,in the ranking of the world's GDP in 1981, United States ranked first in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $3207.04 billion; Japan ranked second in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $1218.99 billion; Former Soviet Union ranked third in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $906.86 billion; Germany ranked fourth in terms of GDP, with a total economy of $800.47 billion; and France, with a total economy of $615.55 billion, ranked fifth in GDP.
